► IDT are currently developing a range of diagnostic equipment including a compact beam position monitor (BPM) that will permit real-time active feedback of the 2nd crystal of our double crystal monochromator.

► The head for the BPM fits on our standard linear actuator and so can be extracted from beam or positioned precisely via an encoder with respect to an external fiducial marker  if absolute reference is required.

► The new BPM will be commissioned early in 2005. For more information on technical specification and/or an update on performance please contact IDT.

► IDT also have experience in ion chamber design and can advise on suitable diode devices for aligning and positioning equipment with monochromatic VUV & X-rays
