Monochromators are an essential optical system in most beamline configurations, enabling stable, narrow band pass selection of particular X-ray energies from the the broadband synchrotron source. High precision engineering of the highest order is an absolute pre-requisite in producing reliable and efficient monochromatisation. IDT have developed innovative new instrumentation to meet the challenge of optimising output from these critical systems for a variety of different configurations.
