From realistic estimates of front end power attenuation via selectable graphite filters through to minimising absorption through beryllium foil thickness in vacuum system isolations X-ray windows IDT have in-house expertise to calculate absorbed power from basic source parameters. Therefore, graphite/ Be window can be designed with confidence without input from the customer if this is required. Alternatively our calculations can be used to validate or back-up customer's own specification.

From these calculations, IDT have developed a proven set of configurable filter and window arrays. These have been proven in service in 3rd generation sources.
