IDT use a wide range of external suppliers for the supply of the highest quality
machined components and vacuum vessels. These suppliers are compliant with our approved
suppliers list and are continuously reviewed to ensure the highest possible quality
levels are maintained. The UK is uniquely placed with very high quality precision
engineering machine shops supplying Airbus, Rolls Royce Aerospace, BAE Systems plus
the majority of the worlds Formula 1 teams. IDT make extensive use of this network.
We have vigorously invested in in-house facilities allowing us to offer a professional
test and assembly service to our customers. We employ a full suite of state of the
art motion control & metrology hardware, with comprehensive test reports in accordance
with latest ISO standards provided for the customer to review and approve before
shipping
Our facilities include:-
- Extensive Class 10000 clean assembly areas for construction and testing of ultra
high vacuum components and assemblies.
- UHV cleaning, including ultrasonic cleaning, rinse and bake facilities plus two bake-out
rigs fitted with MKS RGA heads (0-200amu).
- Leak detector Leybold UL200.
- Two Edwards turbo-scroll pumping carts.
- Two large 3 tonne granite inspection bench and two anti-vibration Newport breadboard
mounting tables for precision metrology testing.
- Three Newport XPS stepper & DC servo motor control test rig for motion control testing
(featuring standard stepper motor and micro-stepping control).
- Two Newport laser autocollimator for dynamic measurement with µrad (0.2 arcsec) resolution.
- Wyler inclinometers & Leica Auto level with parallel plate micrometer.
- Rank Taylor Hobson micro-alignment telescope.
- Custom laser quad diode measurement hardware for full characterisation of scanning
DCM systems.
- Portable CMM Faro arm & Delcam Power Inspect software.
- One tri-axial and two seismic single axis PCB Piezotronics accellerometers
