IDT have developed a miniature version of our high load experimental table. This
compact manipulator system is highly versatile and has several features that make
it ideal for sample environments with limited space.
Small footprint, typically 375 mm x 600 mm x 270 mm.
Flexible orientation & mounting options.
High load capacity, up to 500 kg.
Caters for small breadboards, X95 rails and other beamline components such as focusing
optics and beam conditioning devices.
Pitch, roll, yaw, height & horizontal translation degrees of freedom.
Positioning to sub-μrad & sub-μm repeatability.
All degrees of freedom encoded with Renishaw VIONiC encoders.
The compact manipulator system is designed to be highly versatile with several mounting
modes available.
For the ultimate low-footprint set-up the working piece can be mounted inline on
the compact manipulator system. The image below left shows an X95 rail mounted inline.
Alternatively the working piece can be mounted on top of the compact manipulator
system, as shown in the image below right, which has a 600 mm x 450 mm breadboard
mounted on top of the system.

Ultra-low Footprint
The compact manipulator system is ideal for environments where space is limited,
owing to the very small footprint of the system.
To illustrate the size of the compact manipulator system, the image below shows the
system alongside our five degree-of-freedom table. For scale, the breadboard in this
image is 1.5 m x 1.0 m.
